Last year at about this time, I attended a Free Singapore Dinner Conference at one of the five stars hotel.
The advertisements appeared in Today and Straits Times newspapers for a few days. There were four deference dates to chose. (See picture for one of the advertisement.).
The free seminar worth two hundred dollars came with the following items:
Ø Admission to the seminar
Ø lunch or dinner
Ø Business organizer
The seminar were conducted by overseas experts who shared their experiences on how to increase your income by using the Internet.
The seminar concluded by offering further training. To my surprise, the organize charged $100 for their one- day training.
In my opinion, the organizer should monitor the training results and do a update after the training.

When people say that there is no such thing as a 'free lunch', this testiony clearly reflects this type of logical reasoning. Yes you attended a free lunch or dinner but who settle the bill? you yourself poorer by $100/- through the seminar fee. This is simply a business ploy to offer a bait that would catch the fish. As for monitoring the result of the course - how to? who will do the monitoring? should the organizers announce positive results of the participant after they become rich through the internet? All these are nothing but 'hit and run' business tactics of the seminar organisers. Are they wrong? not really, why? because the organisers did not point a gun on the heads of all the participants forcing them to attend their talk. It is that simple.
Dear Zen,
