BERNARD POON

Sometime I was scared to read newspaper. You may see familiar faces appearing at particular section to say good bye to the world.

However, on 29 Feb 2008, I saw Bernard Poon, my ex- colleague from the National Productivity Board (NPB), his big picture appeared on Today's paper. The caption said :He's is 24 ( going 60). Such a nice compliment.

I was glad that Bernard was doing well in his life as well as career

Well done Bernard!

Mr Poon looked extremely relax and care-free that is the way it should be for all seniors. If we can afford to lead a leisurely life after retirement, why not? not forgetting that we tolled much of our lives for society (in general), our employers, and our families for the sake of livihood. Of course if we did not prepare ourselves adequately for old age, when the time of retirement comes, a day of reckoning, we will continue to toll (like a buffalo) until we drop, and under this circumstance, we should not blame others except for ourselves.
