THE BEST TOILET IN THE WORLD 世界最佳厕所

My family and I were having our one-day tour at Pula Ubin yesterday. I spotted this “world best toilet” near a coffee shop.

Remember I talked about Washlet TOTO toilets at Japan and Indonesia. But this one required no user instructions, no electricity and no need water. It's really environment friendly designed.

That is why I called it "world best toilet".

This photo reminds us of our kampong days when life was much simpler and recycling was the norm. When things are in their natural state it is easier to recylce like the waste product deposits into the pond, breaks into various components in the water, some even becomes food for the fish, and fertilizer for the aquatic plants, the gas and rest being absorbed by the pond mud. The best thing is that the environment is not being adversely affected. In modern society today many products such as plastic, and toxic materials are hard to recyle but for the sake of having a healthy environment great effort must be made towards this end.

Dear Zen,
Thanks for your comments. Some time, it is good to look at what happened in the past. But it is impossible to turn the clock.

Though we cannot turn the clock back but going green in modern time can still work hand-in-hand with nature.
Take for example Sweden, a leading country in environment awareness. The country is trying its best to use alternative energy like solar, wind, fuel-cell and others to replace petroleum. People there take recycling seriously and avoid using toxic materials. All countries in the world should work together in this direction so as to avoid global warming which is seriously harming our planet earth.

Peh. Would you believe that I have actually blogged about our kampong toilets here. I also mentioned the type of toilets you showed in your article. I learned from the PUB website that it was called an 'overhanging' toilet.

At that time I was unable to find a photo of this type of overhanging toilet. Can I have your pictures to add to my post to make it moe complete. Thanks.
