IMPROVED WASHLET TOTO 改善马桶

Last year 27 Dec , I talked (blogged) about the Japanese Washlet Toto at the hotels. This year June, when I visited Indonesia, I saw the Indonesia version of Washlet at the hotel.

It was an improved version. When I looked at it closer, it was the same brand. It must be made in Japan (see above photos).

The demonstration of continuous improvement sprite by the Japanese! Well done.

Japan is a country obsessed with cleanliness especially with bathing and toilet facilities. When I was in Japan I took special interest in observing their toilets right from hotels in Tokyo to a small fishing town in Wajima the toilet facilities there are really first class. Once I was visiting a merchant museum in Kyoto, went to relieve myself in a small corner toilet, and was really surprised by its cleanliness. The floor was dry, spotless with the toilet cistern and bowl so clean that it appeared like new. The hotel toilets are high tech which have an automatic spray (inside the bowl). After a person finishes his 'business'. he has a choice (by using a push button) whether he prefers a hot or cold flush after each session. From such experience, tourists to Japan will understand Japanese culture of thoroughness when they set their minds to do things.
