LOVECARDS 爱心卡 KAD SAYANG

I was quite proud of my daughter. She was involved in a charity project with a group of class mates. Their ideas include the following:
  • design the a series of love cards
  • create the web blog (lovingkheart.blogspot.com)
  • promote the products.

The cars attached a note like this: "This cards is produced by members with psychiatric disabilities from Simei Care Centre. Your simple act of buying the cards creates an opportunity for those to work, brings smiles to those folks in their journey towards recovery. We greatly appreciate your kindness".

I bought the cards because of the message stated . I think it is a better idea to get public to support instead of having a donation box begging people to donate on the streets.

The cards by themselves are very colourful and attractive. In order to promote the sale of the cards, I have a few suggestions:

1) Make the cards with different categories that can serve multi-functional purposes e.g Thank You card, Birthday card, post cards, Happy father day or mother day cards, get well cards and so on.

2) The the title of the card should be on top of the picture - more catchy.

3) There should be a note below the card, saying that cash collection will donated to Simei Care Centre.

4) If there is sponsor, the name and logo of the company can printed on the card itself.

By doing the above, donars would be happy to contribute to a good cause by buying these value-added cards.

Pehsk - Your idea of trying to persuade people to buy products in support of charity is much better than asking donation through flag day. People who are a hurry do not bother to note the objective of such cause. It is also wastage of manpower in flag day, and because of frequent holding of flag day, it has become meaningless. People will response better if they can receive something of value in return of what they have given.
