I was impressed by the Japanes resturants the way they present their food. Its looked very neat and tidy. Its make you feel hungry also ( see pictures).

Of course the price aslo don't come cheap.

The Japanese are noted for their attention to details and attractive presentation which includes food. They love to spread out food in small dishes mainly to discourage overeating. For meticulous presentation, food have to be well prepared, served appropriately by courteous staff in a nice ambiance relating to all respect of dining in a restaurant. All these incurred higher cost and therefore reflected in the higher price of the menu, unless people eat at home. This Japanese trait of attentiveness to details, concentration, and awareness of their physical environment could be attributed to the influence of zen buddhism on Japanese society.
