WEB SEARCHING

The Straits times reported on 16 Oct 2008 that “Web searching helps older folk stay sharp”. It trains the brain and keeps it active and healthy. (See newspaper cutting.)

It was a good news. I am sure those who read and blog will be even healthier because reading and blogging required more thinking skill than searching.

My concern was how reliable was these study?

Yes, I do agree the web searching and blogging do keep the mind sharp. When a person does these activities, it means that his mind is active, curious to find out more, searching for answers. In the case of blogging, he would share information with others by reflecting on his past experience and so on.
