FLYING MACHINE

I asked my students to cut newspaper. One of them cut an article on flying machine. I found it was quite interesting. So I posted it here to share with my readers ( see newspaper cutting).

The machine was invented in Germany. The speed can go up to 100 KMH. The cost is about S $240,000.

It was a good idea to have such machine However, it was costly. The other disadvantage was what happened if it was bad weather.

This type of human propulsion was seen in early movies, but such machines were actually in existence particularly in US ways back in the sixties. Perhaps it was dangerous then for humans to fly in this manner, hence it could have been banned except for experimental purposes. I have a vision that in the future human being could transport themselves all over the place in this mode or in flying machines that can land within a small spot.

I remember seeing an interetsting programme in the discovery channel recently showing flying vehicles in the air, traveling on fixed paths just like our present roads. All these are scientific predictions of future 'air travel' which is integrated to land transport.

I saw a prog on tv where this guy actually flew a short distance and landed on a roof top quite accurately.
