ROBOT FISH

The Zoa Bao newspaper reported on 22 Mar 2009 that UK scientist had invented a robot fish.

The fish can detect the oxygen level in the water and oil pollution situation in the sea. The fish can also perform water patrolling mission. The fish will send the data back to the control centre.

The length of the fish was 1.5 meters. The cost was S$43 thousands. It was a good idea to invent such robot to replace human being as the task was not easy.

Another robotic thing but this time it appears useful though expensive. I appreciate robots that can handle dangerous things like dismantling of explosives, handling highly immflammable cargo and other related items, keeping human beings out of harm's way. In this particular instance, the robotic fish can perform many difficult undersea tasks which are very useful to the marine industry.
