There were a lots of ideas to get people to donate. The most common ones in Singapore were the TV variety shows. Anyone can just made a phone call and your donations were done.
Recently I received another type of getting people to donate through mails. The charity organisation sent out letters, pictures and gifts items (see photos). The objective was to ask you to donate. My concern now is how genius were these charity organisations? Why are there so kind in helping the poor and needy? I cannot find an answer.
My main focus was on ideas. Which is the most effective way of getting people to donate? Can the readers please make a suggestion.

Helping charities through donations is a noble act, but how to verify that money is channel properly to the right people. Take example NKF, which is supposed to be a reputable charity organisation, is still dealing with a huge scandal, let alone other lesser ones. The worse thing that can happen to charity monetary management is that even the govt is reluctant to get involve with, and leave individuals to judge for themselves which charities they would like to contribute their donations to. I wish all donors good luck.
