MERLION INTERNATIONAL SCHOOL 新加坡国际学校

Singapore has good reputation on education systems. A lot of foreigners send their children here to study. The National University of Singapore (NUS) was ranked top 20 University in the world.

However, the standard of living in Singapore is high. For the developing countries, the parent may not be has the luxury to send their children here.

So why not set up a Singapore International school at the developing countries. It was a good business idea.

I saw the Merlion International School at Indonesia (see photos). An idea put into action. The next step is to maintain the standard!

For setting up an international school, usually the govt leaves this task to the private sector which normally sets its sight on whether it is worth the investment. As for setting such schools in developing countries, the core criteria is whether there are enough foreigners in that country to send their children to the school. Furthermore, private investors will evaluate the financial feasibily of setting such schools before taking the plunge.
