My son will be enlisted for National Service this Friday. I was invited to attend the enlistment exercise. I was impressed by three publications given by the Ministry of Defence ( Mindef):
1 My Son The NS man
2 The Army Officer
3 Recruits Handbook
It was a good idea to document all information so that everyone will understand the 5 Ws ( Why, What, When, Who, Where) and 1 H ( How) in relation to the NS.
Thanks to Mindef for publishing theses information. However, One area they may consider is to translate the publication into other languages for those who don't read English.

Hey. My son is going in on Wed! I look forward to visiting the camp on that day to see how much things have changed.
When your sons reach NS age, it is a good sign, meaning that they are already grown up and would soon be independent, lessing your emotional burden as a father. Not to worry about the publication printed in English, not forgeting that our efficient govt is likely to have them printed in various languages.
