ROAD NAME AFTER TAN LARK SYE 陈六使之路

My Friend 戴文雪wrote to Zao Bao on 3 Jan 2009 (See newspaper cutting). He suggested that NTU should name a road after Tan Lark Sye.

It was an excellence suggestion to remember the Nantah's founder. I hope NTU official to implement the idea quickly.

I wish to thank my friend for the idea.

Yes I agree whole-heartedly to your suggestion. After all, many streets, roads, buildings and other institutions in Singapore are named after well known persons such as Mr Tan Tock Seng (TTSH), Nee Soon (Yishun), Sun Yat Sun Villa, Sheares Bridge and so on. - just to mention a few. I do not see any reason why a road in NTU vicinity should not be named after its founder Mr Tan Lark Sye.

It's completely blasphemous to associate Nantah with NTU. NTU is NOT Nantah, it's just akin to a bastard staying in someone else's house.
