WAR AT GAZA

I saw the cartoon at Zao Bao Newspaper.

It shown what was happening at Gaza. There were three parties involved. UN, Israel and Palestinian. They were fighting. The question now was how to stop the war?

The history of the middle east conflict starts from ancient time and seems to have no ending, particularly after the nation of Israel is founded in 1948. The core of the problems lies in the long lasting hatred between the Jews and the Arabs and this cannot be resolved overnight. Both races share a common philosophy of exacting 'a tooth for a tooth', meaning that seeking revenge against each other is their top priority. Things are made worse by the powers that instigate the Jews and the Arabs to fight each others. US and some western countries on one side and extremist Arab countries on the other. In other words, Israeli and Palestinians are made proxies by these countries to further their own ulterior interests in the middle east. So how can the conflict stop? There is no light of peace in the tunnel if to both parties are only seeking revenge on each other, unless a compromise is reached and those which pull the puppet strings stop the meddling and let the UN mediates for a peace agreement.
