KEEP A JOURNAL

I read a book called The Lazy Man’s Way to Riches. The book was written by Richard Gilly Nixon. It was quite interesting. The ideas presented were simple. The book said, one should keep a journal. The benefits of keeping journal are :

· Self discovery. Writing consistently in a journal will give you a deeper connection with your inner self.

· Less Stress. Releasing all your inner thoughts and anxieties through writing can help release stress.

· Give you courage. Knowing what you want to do with your life is the first step in making it happen.

· Understanding the past. Journaling can bring up many issues in life that are still unresolved. Writing about them helps take you to a place of forgiveness and healing.

· Greater sense of peace. Listening to your inner thoughts through writing gives you a grater sense of peace and more positive outlook on your experiences in life.

· Awareness. Get to know what really bring you joy in life

· Uncovering. Uncover your inner spirituality

· Healing. Mobilize your healing system to help you fight off illness and process painful emotion before they make you ill.

It was a good idea to keep Journal. My blog was another form of Journal. I hope to maintain it regularly.

The author implies that readers of his book practising the ways expounded by him would be heading for riches. To me it is easier said than done, even more so for lazy people. My logic is this is simple - all these talks about self discovery, releasing of inner thoughts, life issues, sense of peace, forgiveness, healing, spirituality and so forth are nothing but life complications. Maybe only a buddha under an enlightened life condition can resolve such problems. People trying to fight off illnesses and painful emotions, are better off by engaging doctors and psychiatists to help them rather than using such abstract principles. All in all, I find the author and his book not helpful the readers, only making things complicated.
